Anita is victimized by her libido, beast and adorned by her limitless admirers. A little less sex and more story would be much better...hey who am I to quibble I'm moving into 15.....addicted!!!!!

Wonderful Series...

I read many many books. I am a great fan of vampire and werewolf stories. This series caught me pleasently by surprise. I think that the author brought the characters into play so wonderfully, and sex wasn't a big part of the storyline at first. Now that the plots have thickened, it has become more apparent that sex is going to play a big part... we are talking about vampires and werewolves!! I really enjoyed how she kept sex to a minimum at first, so if you enjoyed the beginning of the series... it's because it was just plain GOOD! Keep up the good work, Laurell, it is a series I just can't stay away from(and not trying to either)! I can't wait to continue reading!! Thank you for your wonderful stories!!

I have read all the books in the this series from the first one on up and love every one of them. I am looking forward to reading Skin Trade, and I am now starting to order the Merry books as well. I read that the author uses the characters in this series to deal with some of her anger issues, and that definitely comes through. In fact, I think I enjoy these books so much because there are times when I wish I could be as strong and forceful as Anita is. Even with all of the sex, the author has built some very well defined characters to the point where I can picture them as I read, and I get deeply involved in the story line. Keep up the good work Laurell!

This was my first Anita Blake vampire book and I really enjoyed reading this wild and sexy book. I plan to read the other books in this series, and am hoping I started the series with the right book.
