Night Road

Jude Farraday is a happily married stay-at-home mom whose twins, Mia and Zach, are the center of her universe. In the mind of foster child Lexi Baill, Mia’s best friend, there is no better mother—although when top student Zach falls in love with Lexi and announces his intention to attend community college with her, Jude is far from pleased. But the night Lexi reluctantly drives the more intoxicated twins home from a senior class party, the only emotion Jude registers is complete and utter devastation….

In Night Road Kristin Hannah shines a light on wrenching issues for parents, particularly the often impossible task of keeping their children safe. When Jude leads her community in a call for justice, it takes but a heartbeat for Lexi’s future to turn down a dark road where no one, especially the boy she loves, can follow. Six years later, she returns far wiser than her years, only to discover Jude has grown more embittered. Will Lexi’s presence force the once-loving mother to reconsider the woman she has become? And what of Zach? Is he beyond Lexi’s reach? This breathtaking drama raises profound questions about the nature of love, loss…and forgiveness.

Awesome Read

I could not put this book down. I did cry when reading it, but that is because the author makes you connect with the characters. The book is impossible to put down and stays with you long after you finish it.

I stayed up until 2:30a.m. to finish this book. After crying my eyes out I had to know how it ended! A little depressing, but very well written. Would definitely recommend this- with a box of tissues of course.

This was a good book!! I couldn't put it down the entire time I was reading it! The only thing that I didn't like was the ending. I wanted it to go on....I didn't feel like it was "finished" at the end. Would recommend to anyone for a quick read!

Kristin Hannah does it again; creating warmth, mystery, likability of characters, and overall another awesome read. I've enjoyed everyone of her books that I've read very, very much.
