After Wall Street collapses, investment banker Griff McPherson trades in his suits and ties for Stetsons and cowboy boots to return to the Wyoming ranch he owns with his brother. It’s not exactly a happy reunion. So to prove to everyone that he belongs back in Jackson Hole, he takes a post as a wrangler on another ranch.
Air Force veteran Val Hunter likes what she sees in her new hire at the Bar H Ranch…and not just because Griff is easy on the eyes. The man is tough! But is he tough enough to break through the fortress around her wounded heart? He’ll have to be. As Lindsay McKenna’s The Wrangler heats up, and an enemy endangers Val’s land, it’s up to him to convince her to let go of her fears and say yes to his help…and his heart.

The story moved slowly, simple editing mistakes throughout, and I got tired of hearing about everyones red-hair in Wyoming as it wasn't even storyline related.

Characters were one dimensional and dialogue sounded like an elementary school reader. The potential for strong characters was not developed - story line would have suopported it. Disappointing as I liked the first book about the brother.

It was a Harlequin...too juvenile.

Book 2 in a series and I really got caught up in their survival and love of life. It help to have read the Last Cowboy first, since they are long lost brothers. It makes the family ties stronger. You will fall in love with both brothers.
