Disappointing

I purchased the entire Whispering Mountain Series. All of the books left me disappointed. This one seems to be the most disjointed. There is more time bringing other characters together than Rose and Duncan. This is one of the disappointments - there is no character development in any of the other books and all of a sudden we're to believe that Rose and Duncan belong together. I won't buy another series by Jodi Thomas

I really enjoyed this one. I was a little confused in the beginning because, although the flap says it's about Duncan and Rose-and it is, it is also about other characters and their romances. Once I realized what I was reading I gobbled it up and was very tired all the next day. Highly recommend this original novel.

WILD TEXAS ROSE - Another Very Good Story by Ms. Thomas!

I've read every one of Ms. Thomas' historical romances and while I like most of her older ones better than her newer work, she has never disappointed me! This is another installment in the Whispering Mountain Series, so I would highly recommended reading the others in this series first since you'll meet both Rose and Duncan in the previous stories. Overall is was a quick and enjoyable read. I really love this author's writing style and will continue to buy her books!
