Lori Wick is one of our most popular authors of Christian fiction, ranging from tales of life in today’s ever-challenging world to the western frontier in the 1800s—each with a message on living our faith as Christ would have us live it. Jessie is no exception.
Jessie Wheeler, whose husband, Seth, abandoned her before their second child was born, is a single mother and the sole proprietor of Token Creek’s general store. Jessie lives each day with her hands full— raising her children and keeping the general store going, not to mention keeping her family’s spirits up and their faith in God strong. But secretly, her heart is broken.
When Seth suddenly returns to Token Creek claiming he’s a man who’s found God and changed by faith, Jessie is reluctant to trust him—or God—with her family’s future. But Seth is determined to win Jessie back and sets out to prove his commitment and his steadfast love. With the hand of God at work in their lives, will they build a life together again?
Jessie is a timeless story of the transforming power of God’s everlasting love and forgiveness—and the strength of a woman who refused to be defeated, no matter how unfair life’s challenges seemed to be.

Great reading! I felt as if I knew these characters. I passed all three books along to my widowed sister to read and she loved them, too.

As usual Lori Wicks has another winner. I think Jessie was a little slow on excepting Seth`s apology. Have to give her credit for letting him back in the girls lives. very good book.
