Battered by the sea, Adam remembers nothing of his past, his ducal rank, or the shipwreck that almost claimed his life. However, he’s delighted to hear that the golden-haired woman tending his wounds is his wife. Mariah’s name and face may not be familiar, but her warmth feels deliciously right…. So begins Mary Jo Putney’s Loving a Lost Lord. Mariah never meant to tell the stranger she rescued that they are man and wife, but she’s been pretending to be married to deter a bullying suitor, and having the amnesiac Adam fall into her lap seemed like providence. But now, she’s caught in her own lie. Can she tell her handsome “husband” the truth? Can she spurn him when he claims his marital rights? Does she even want to?

This book was a very easy read and I definitely look forward to reading the other books in the series.

This book is OK. Not great, but a good read. I am hoping the other "Lost Lords" books will be a little richer, and knowing Ms. Putney's work I am sure they will be.
