Brava, Valentine

Brava, Valentine is book two in a delightful trilogy from Adriana Trigiani. Valentine Roncalli is overjoyed when her grandmother, who’s moved to Italy, names her CEO of the family wedding-shoe business—even if that means having to contend with the insufferable new CFO, her brother, Alfred. Nonetheless, Valentine’s devotion to the Angelini Shoe Company overrides all else, and she has quite a few plans for expansion, particularly when she unearths a long-lost shoe pattern designed by a family member she never knew existed! With her curiosity piqued, Valentine leaves New York for the lush hills of Tuscany, never imagining the answer she seeks awaits her in magical Rio, along with stunning inspiration…and the love of a lifetime.

Haven't read this one yet, but got it because the others were so interesting and I know that I will like this one. Have read all of her books and enjoyed them tremendously.

Worth keeping the triology going
March 22, 2010

Valentine continues to grow the family shoe business, Angelini shoes, in this second of three novels. It picks up the story from the first novel and carries it along. Valentine can, on occasion, become a bit immature about her life and choices, but on the whole the book works well. The scenes where the entire family get together are laugh out loud funny including Gram's wedding and a somewhat ill-fated Thanksgiving dinner. Definitely worth the read.
