Hannah's List

“Master storyteller” (Romantic Times) and New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber explores the extraordinary power of love in a moving new tale in the Blossom Street series.

Hannah’s List opens as Dr. Michael Everett contemplates with great anticipation a letter he’s received from his wife, Hannah, on the anniversary of her death. Gripped by a flood of emotions he can’t even begin to control, Michael reads of her great love for him and, more compelling, of the stunning request she beseeches him to grant. “I want you to marry again,” wrote Hannah, who goes on to express her fear that he’ll spend years grieving for her and forget to live the rich and fulfilling life he deserves. But Hannah doesn’t stop there. In the time she had left, Hannah chose three women she thought could bring Michael happiness, and asks that he consider each.

During the months that follow, Michael begins to spend time with Winter, Leanne and Macy, learning things about each of them, but also about himself…learning, finally, what Hannah always knew; he’s a man who can only be completed by love. And Hannah’s wise, carefully compiled list leads him to the woman who can make him whole once again.

Sweet Story
July 14, 2010

This was a very sweet story. My aunt died from Ovarian cancer so this hit a cord with me. Macomber is such a talent, her characters so real that you just want them to have a happy ending, even if it is predictable.

This book was such a good book. I really like it. I listen to the book on my ipod and took me 2 days to listen to the whole book. I really wanted to know who he was going to chose as his wife. Great book for someone who lost a love one and let you know that our love ones in heaven wants us to move on with our lives here on earth. I really enjoyed this book.

Good read...

I found the book interesting and amusing. Macy captured my heart and so did her neighbor Henry. Michael was a bit self-centered and whiny, but only to show his transformation in the book. He had everything and Macy was... let's just say Macy. He was the brain, but Macy was the heart. Leanne and Winter were just a 'speed bump' in Hannah's plan for Michael so that he could learn to appreciate Macy's uniqueness. Good read. Fun read.
