Though I ordered both books in this series at the same time, I read this one first. Joey W Hill has been my favorite author for some years due to her rare gift of presenting her paranormal romances with a riveting, mesmerizing psychological thriller undercurrent. Still a good read, but not the mind-blowing best of many of the vampire series.
