The Lone Warrior

In The Lone Warrior, Denise Rossetti takes us inside a world of passion as two mortal enemies are forced to choose between revenge and ecstasy.

Walker—an earth shaman—has dedicated his life to the annihilation of the demons who destroyed his tribe. And he’s good at it. Dark, dangerous and merciless, he is death incarnate…but he’s never faced anyone like his latest captive!

Mehcredi, a neophyte assassin, is oblivious to people’s boundaries, and her blatant disregard for Walker’s personal space is driving him to distraction, leaving him torn between killing her and kissing her. But even as they embark on a new, sensual adventure, the Necromancer plots their doom, and their love might be the first casualty in a war of epic proportions.

If other worlds intrigue you, this book will snare your imagination

I purchased the first two books of the four sided pentacle series and thoroughly enjoyed them. The first -*whew*- almost singed my fingers to the bone. The second was a tad slow, but it was sweeter rather than steamier. Now, this third book was a surprise. I read a few negative comments on it, but I have to say that they were mistaken and must've read something completely different. Once I finished this, for two weeks, I couldn't help but go back and read my favorite sections. Sure, the main character is slightly oblivious, but I love how she overcomes her awkwardness in society. You are with her in her discovery of how body language works, of how the heart can truly grow with every new experience. My favorite part was the ending when you see the strength that love can give you. I would recommend this book to anyone who loved reading fantasy before they discovered romance. This was a wonderful blend of the two.
