Daniel Grey knows better than most that talk of finding your special someone, one’s other half, is no myth. He has “the memory,” the ability to recall past lives. But while many would call it a gift, Daniel knows all too well how it can be a curse. For centuries, in one reincarnated life after another, he has pursued Sophia, his one true love. Each time she is drawn to him, unaware of what they’ve shared before…and what will inevitably happen: that Daniel’s jealous brother will arrive to tear them apart. Can this love that is their destiny find a way to endure?
Both magical and suspenseful, My Name is Memory is the mesmerizing first book in a series from Ann Brashares, bestselling author of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

For those not in the know, this is PART ONE of a TRILOGY. I enjoyed this book alot and am looking forward to the remaining two books in the series.

I was really looking forward to reading this book and thought that the story sounded like such a wonderful concept. The characters lacked depth and were so frustratingly slow. I just felt like the whole being chased through lives to right a wrong and get things right was badly written. When they do finally get together the showdown is a total anticlimax and the book ends with nothing resolved! I doubt I'll read another one of this authors books after this let down.

I enjoyed this book. Then I got to the ending and wanted to throw it across the room. Why do authors have to end their stories with an unfinished ending? What happened to endings that finish the story? Is there going to be a sequel that we have to buy another book to find out what happens? It just made me angry that we didn't get to know what happened to the characters.

This was the first Ann Brashares novel I have read and I loved it! I found myself hoping to find a sequel to this one! It had a wonderful story line and really makes you stop and think. It was so good I had a hard time putting it down! I was a little disappointed in the ending, though. I felt like I (as well as the characters) were kind of left hanging. Otherwise, it was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this one to others.
