Joe Quinn is a former Navy SEAL-turned-cop, which means he’s no stranger to evil. Yet from the moment the rugged lawman met Eve Duncan, a forensic sculptor tormented by the unknown fate of her daughter, Bonnie, he’s seen how dark the shadows of the soul can turn.
In Quinn, the second book in a harrowing, white-knuckle trilogy, Iris Johansen takes readers back in time to when Joe and Eve fell in love, while in the present the tension mounts beyond endurance. Eve’s first love, John Gallo, has left little doubt he holds the key to Bonnie’s disappearance. But now Joe’s life is also in his hands and it will be up to CIA agent Catherine Ling—who owes her own child’s survival to Eve and Joe—to outsmart the cunning, ruthless Gallo…if she can.

This book and Eve are the best written books I have ever read. The characters stayed with me for days after finishing the books. It made you feel it was real life. The emotions in this story and the first one seemed so real it was easy to shed tears where needed.

I loved getting to know these characters, read this book in one day as with the first book and am very eager to get a hold of the last book Bonnie is October here yet

It was nice to go back and get the characters' history but was confused that Quinn was single in this book. I thought he was married when he met Eve. As much as I've enjoyed the Eve books, it's been dragged out with finding Bonnie. Hope that Bonnie finally comes home in the next one and if there are any future Eve books they can expand in storylines.
